As a non-profit organisation, a major component of the Clarens Arts Festival was to expose the children of the village to the creative arts world and this was achieved with great success. The headmistress at Clarens Primary School, Annetjie Coetzee, embraced the festival concept with amazing enthusiasm and graciously made the school available to the children of Clarens, as well as festival-goers, to attend various art workshops throughout the weekend.

All funds raised from the Clarens Arts Festival will be used to uplift the youth and artists in the local community and help keep the passion for the arts alive.

Earlier this year, a portion of our profits were donated to the Mathari Theatre Production & Youth Group in Kgubestwana, who were invited to KZN to attend acting workshops and participate in the uZalo Show which airs daily on SABC.

Another highlight for 2022 was our Jerusalema Heritage Day Flash Mob which took place on the village square, led by the talented kiddies at Tshepong Primary School, and was a true reflection of our rainbow nation. View the Instagram Reel here.
